Meet Corey Timbers, L.Ac., M.Ac., CZB
I love being in the woods. The sounds, the colors, the smells – it’s so magical and transportive while also helping me feel grounded and more like myself. This is also why I love Five Element acupuncture; it connects us to nature’s rhythms while returning us to our own true nature.
Because in truth, we are nature.
Before I discovered the transformational power of acupuncture and bodywork, I went through a period of intense difficulty.
I was carrying unprocessed trauma and turned to the false refuges of drugs and alcohol for relief, when all I found was its opposite.
I’m forever grateful to the acupuncturist who helped me begin my healing journey back to myself, sober and rooted in love.
At her recommendation, I attended an open house at the Maryland University of Integrative Health, where I graduated with a Master of Acupuncture degree a few years later. And shortly thereafter I got my degree in Chinese Herbal Medicine from Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts.
When I’m not in the treatment room, I have fun and recharge by walking in the woods, practicing Tai Chi and Qi Gong, Five Rhythms dancing, or playing with my senior golden retriever, Sophie, who is the oldest puppy I know.
Even though we live in our own bubbles, the quality of our lives is dependent on those around us and on nature. My intention is simple: create positive, healing ripples in the world by helping people live as their authentic selves and step into their highest potential.
